Iran has time to 12 July

The pressure grows scarcely two weeks before the G-8-Gipfel in Russia on Iran to react as soon as possible to the compromise offer of the west in the atomic controversy. The US government set one period for Iran by 12 July. On 12 July the international pressure will however enormously rise to Iran, because on this day the ministers of foreign affairs of five UN veto powers and Germany would meet to discussions over Iran. From diplomat circles in Vienna was already before reported, the western states would have set an informal period for Iran by 12 July. Otherwise sanctions of the UN Security Council threatened. The Iranian chief negotiator Ali Larijani meets tomorrow the representative with regard to foreign policy of the European Union, Javier Solana. China reminds to restraint also Russia and China is more strongly ever ready according to diplomat circles to carry sanction threats if Iran rejects the recent compromise offer of five veto powers in the Security Council and Germany. Officially however China and Russia want to know still nothing from possible steps of the security council. Russia would welcome it much, accepts "if our Iranian partners the suggestions", explained president Vladimir Putin. Best still happen this before the G-8-Gipfel from 15 to 17 July in pc. Petersburg. Putin granted however that this was probably improbable. Also China pushes Iran to an imminent answer, at the same time called today however a speaker of the State Department the others at the conflict parties taken part to practice "restraint and to consider the entitled doubts of Iran".
